al-Qaeda in Iran

Well here is something that was pretty damn obvious, the mullahs of Iran linked to al Queda. It seems Iran is being used as a base for terrorists. These terrorists then go into Iraq and kill Iraqis and Americans, with the intended goal of undermining progress in Iraq.

Intelligence sources say that al Qaeda is operating in Iran. No way…are .you kidding…I am shocked! I mean this wasn’t reported on any of Iran’s new government controlled TV news reports.

It seems al-Qaeda operatives are using Iran as a money and commo base. O.K. so it isn’t a training camp, but a terrorist organization must have money and good commo to fight a war.

So, Iran is harboring terrorists, providing weapons and Improvised Explosive Devices (those are road side bombs that blow up HUMVEES our troops ride around in) to insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan, Iran has announced they will wipe the UK, Israel and the U.S. off the face of the Earth on numerous occasions and they are getting closer to having nuclear bombs. Iran is already at war with us, why are we not at war with them?

So, what will we do about the threat of Iran? Probably, nothing until the cost of dealing with Iran will be as great as the cost of dealing with Hitler and Nazi Germany. It’s the same situation, different times folks. Read a history book folks the parallels are clear as day.

Oh hell, I got a better idea. How bout we sit around and worry about “Global Warming” instead. I mean more than 10,600 people have been killed at the hands of Islamic terrorism so far in 2007, “Global Warming” has killed 0. I definitely see the bigger problem for the human race, do you?

Ronald Reagan would know how to handle North Korea.

Ronald Reagan would know how to handle North Korea and Iran right along with the other mess we got are self into. I know one thing you sure wouldn't be hearing any of this were "deeply troubled" or "greatly concerned" worthless rhetoric comming from Ronaldus Maximus. Unless the State Department or some diplomats had there way.

Remember Reagan's "tear down this wall" speech? The U.S. State Department tried to prevent Reagan from using those words.

Senior State Department officials tried to obstruct portions of the Berlin speech that Reagan used to contrast communism with freedom and democracy. Some diplomats found the passages too forceful and were unsettled by Reagan's strong moral rhetoric.

Among those who objected to the language was Colin Powell…wow, no surprise there…

Apparently the boys at the State Department didn’t like the “Evil Empire” speech either, but Reagan didn’t listen to them…

As it would turn out Reagan may have been the best diplomat we have ever seen.

We could sure use another Reagan type right about now… sure do miss the gipper.

Country boy suggested reading and viewing from around the web.

Oh boy, this is not good. Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces have been spotted by British troops crossing the border into southern Iraq. I wonder what President Bush will do? Oh wait it is just a border...I mean we don't care about those in our own back yard.

Bush Calls on Iran to Release U.S. Hostages

Well, I am not sure how this hapened, but this story slipped right under my radar. I didn't even know Iran was holding American hostages. Of course the media is calling them detained U.S. citizens, probably because hostage is such a hostile word toward Iran. Wouldn't want to make Iran look anyworse than they already are, might offend them. Of course here at MTCW, I don't worry about such useless things as political correctness so I will call them what they are, which is hostages.

Apparently, Iran has been holding these U.S. hostages for a month now and Bush is had enough...yep...he finally spoke out and called for the "detainees"to be freed "immediately and unconditionally."

Oh, what strong words from the President, and based on our track record from dealing with Iran, I am sure they are shaking in their turbans and will return these hostages immediately.

President Bush waited over a month to respond to this, and White House aides said the president broke his silence because of Tehran's decision to charge three of the four detainees.

So, I guess that means, everything was fine. Go ahead and arrest Americans in Iran, as long as you do not charge them with anything I won't say anything. After you charge them though, well then I am going to demand you to return them, but I am not actually going to do anything about it. Why that would be insane.

I wonder how long Ronald Reagan would have put up with this? Then again, Reagan wouldn't have to put up with this, because these bastards wouldn't be playing these games with him in the White House.

The Iranians are well on their way to recreating the scene from 1979-1981 when they held Ammerican hostages for 444 days. It is starting to look like President Bush is going to leave the Oval Office just as former President Jimmy Carter did; broken, beaten and with an American public demoralized and confused.

It must be absolute joy ride for Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to be repeating this heinous trick, only this time on a grander scale, and with America lacking a figure of salvation like President Reagan was then. Who will pick-up the pieces after W. is gone?

Coalition: Taliban have Iran arms.

U.S. and British forces in Afghanistan say Iran could be supplying the Taliban with the same type of weapons they have been sending into Iraq.

Coalition officials in Afghanistan tells CNN they have intercepted Iranian-made AK-47s, C-4 plastic explosives and mortars. One explosively-formed penetrator bomb (EFP) that was found can pierce American armor, a NATO official said.

The EFP is similar to the weaponry the United States says Iran has provided to militants in Iraq.

Are you starting to see a pattern of all roads leading back to Iran. We are already at war with Iran. Iran sends sniper rifles to Iraq to kill Americans, we do nothing. They defiantly tell the World to screw off, we are enriching urinaium. The World does nothing.

A MUST READ...The Iran Threat must be dealt with, and now not later!

Norman Podhoretz has a column in the Wall Street Journal's Editorial Page today, The case for bombing Iran: I hope and pray President Bush will do it.

Yeah, I hope and pray he will do it before it is too late!!!

If you do anything at all today please read this column. It is a long column, but should be required reading for every man, woman and child that lives within our borders.

For over two and a half years now I have warned about the threat of Iran. I have said World War is on the horizon, if not already here. We are staring at 1938 all over again...

In fact, much of what Mr. Podhoretz, has to say can be found throughout this blog over the last two years.

After reading this column, I find that I am no longer frightened by the actions of Iran. Instead, I find myself terrified, because I truly believe the United States will not stomach the courage to do anything about it until it is too late, even though the consequences are perfectly clear.

I can not help to remember the words of a man who had no choice but to deal with a similar evil or be crushed in his time, Winston Churchill: "Still, if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case; you may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves."
