9-11: Six Years Later

It has been six years since Islamic terrorist waged war on America by flying jet airliners into the Twin Towers in New York City, and the Pentagon in Washington, DC. Six years since one brave group of passengers on a hijacked plane decided to take matters into their own hands and fight back ensuring the plane never reached its target and instead crashed into a Pa. field.

Every American that died that day became the first casualties in a war declared on us by Islamic terrorists willing to die for their cause of world Islamic dominance.

Six years later I remember that day that changed the course of my life and the course of the world and history forever. Many others will remember and reflect on the day as well. Yet, some would rather forget, and try to act as the day never happened. A school in Utah has decided it will not take time to remember the attack because they, as they say, “don’t want to dwell on violence.” I say to them, lets not forget who brought the violence. Let’s not forget the enemy we face knows no other alternative than the use of violence to advance their agenda.

Six years later Osama Bin Laden reminds us of their evil in a tape of the Quran’s instructions to faithful Muslims that when they encounter a “non-believer” it is their duty to either enslave, convert, or kill them.

These Islamic fascists are dedicated to the destruction of the West and it seems at times, these Islamic fascist extremists have far more dedication and patience in the pursuit of their goals than a lot of the American people have in the defense of our culture.

It is important to remember 9-11 because through memories of that day we learn. We learn that we can not turn a blind eye to evil in the world without eventually facing the consequences.
Six years ago I had a good job, a good salary, and was living a good life. After 9-11, I took a significant pay cut to enlist in the Army to fight terrorists and help preserve that way of life.

Today, I am still in the Army, and I sit in Afghanistan writing this just a few miles from where Osama Bin Laden and other al-Qaeda leaders where allowed to start a movement of hate and pure evil. Where they were allowed to plan and orchestrate the largest terrorist attack the world has ever seen.

Six years ago 19 terrorists gave their lives carrying out the largest attack on U.S. soil for their cause in the name of Allah, today U.S. Servicemembers fight in Afghanistan prepared to give their life so that it will never happen again.

Country Boy's suggested reading and viewing from around the web.

For those of you who think that Islamic terrorists are nothing but third world, ignorant, radical, religious murderers – do not under estimate them. This article by Daniel Henninger points to many of the high tech capabilities of such terrorists ... particularly their strategic use of the web. It is an Information War and they are winning!
Great Column by Kathryn Jean Lopez who points out being politically correct is no way to win the war against Islamic terrorists. She says a state of delusion is no way to fight a war and we must not be scared to call a war a war.

Amen! Can I get a hallelujah from the congregation! Do you think they are worried about political correctness when planning how to blow up innocent civilians? Politicians who dodge the subject are weak, and will make America weak as a result.

We are losing the global war on terror, not on the battle, at home.

We are slowly losing the global war on terror, but not on the battlefield. No, the American Soldier continues to fight and win this war militarily. In fact, I cannot think of one military battle we have lost in this war. We are losing this war the only place we know how at home and in the halls of Congress.

A new report out yesterday says al-Qaeda is now up to operating strength it had prior to the 9-11 terrorist attacks against the United States and are showing greater and greater ability to plan attacks in Europe and the United States. It also claims they have created a robust training program.

The Central Intelligence Agency is on board with the analysis and a CIA official told congress on Thursday that al-Qaeda is “pretty well settled into the safe haven and ungoverned spaces of Pakistan” where they are seeing more training, more money and more communications and activity.

So, there is still a threat, and the threat is getting bigger. So why does it seem that we and the West in general are more concerned about offending Muslims feelings than we are recognizing the obvious, which is not all Muslims are terrorists, but almost all terrorists have been Muslims, in recent times.

Even the new British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, in the wake of the terrorists attempted attacks, has instructed his government to not use the word Islamic or Muslim in connection with terrorism. The Muslim terrorists still want to control, dominate, and subjugate all things not Islamic and the world is worried about offending them.

Sure we are fighting al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and Iraq, but this is just a tip of the iceberg. Al-Qaeda is still allowed safe haven in Pakistan, Iran and other places. They continue to recruit and hang out in their safe havens until they are called upon to fight in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Until we change the way we fight this war, until we recognize this is a World War, and we are truly fighting for the survival of our very own existence, this war will never end. It will just continue forever. If we had fought Nazi Germany in WWII the way we are fighting the war on terror, there is no doubt we would have lost the war, or would still be fighting it.

Here are just some thoughts that come to mind today. Where is al-Qaeda getting its money from? Iran? The money is coming from somewhere. Why is Pakistan and Iran permitted to harbor al-Qaeda? Why are we not taking these training camps out with air strikes as I write this? Why is America looking so weak in the face of an enemy…and finally not if, it is really not a matter of if anymore, it is a matter of when will these terrorists hit America again? Where will it happen and how many people will die? And what will America do at that point. Will that be the ultimate wake up call to finally take the threat seriously, or will we chose to retreat and live in constant fear hoping and praying that they just leave us alone.

We already know the answer to this if Congress gets to make that decision. In the midst of these reports they passed a bill for the complete withdrawal of troops from Iraq. What an amazing act of cowardliness.

Some of these same politicians voting for the withdrawal previously voted for the war!

This makes about as much sense as deciding to fight the meanest S.O.B in a bar, then half way through the fight, “My bad, I made a mistake, I don’t want to fight anymore.” Anyone who takes this approach is sure to have their teeth kicked in.

The thing is al-Qaeda and our enemies know they can not beat us in battle. So, they take the fight to where they know they can beat us. They fight a propaganda war, and they are getting good at it. They create massive chaos, the media reports all the chaos, and people begin to lose support for the war. Congress tries to run the war policy, instead of letting the Soldiers do their job. While the President loses authority over the situation and the troops have their hands tied behind their backs. It is the Vietnam syndrome and just like Vietnam we are one Tet Offensive or one major terrorist attack away from completely pulling out of Iraq. By the way did you know the Tet Offensive was actually a military victory for U.S. Troops? The media was able to portray it differently though.

As for the members of Congress who voted for the withdrawal of troops from Iraq. I have a few words for you.

You have sent a message to our enemies that the U.S. is weak and does not have the will to continue the fight. You also send a clear message to our allies that America can not be trusted to stand with them ever again as they will reap the consequences of supporting us if we pull out. You have sent a message to all the members of our military that their lives and time are completely expendable and there sacrifice has been for nothing. I am sure many of the Soldiers who have spent a better of 3 out of the last 5 years in iraq are thrilled that they will never get those 3 years of their life back.

It is no surprise that mostly dumbocrats voted for this. They have always been the party to undermine the efforts of our Soldiers. They have been doing it since Vietnam, but I have a message for republicans who voted to withdrawal troops as well, you can start looking for new jobs. In seeking to secure your prized job as a Congressman, you have proven to be out of touch with the base of the party and are part of the reason the Republican Party is nothing more than a huge piece of elephant crap. The reason the party continues to lose approval, money and support is NOT because of the war! You stupid morons! It is because you have all been acting like the jack ass symbol of the Dumbocrat Party. It is because you keep reaching across the aisle to cooperate with dumbocrats on issues like the amnesty bill.

I completely assure you I am not alone in my disdain for the Republican Party.

Now, I know this withdrawal bill has very little chance of actually making it through the Senate and if somehow it does President Bush will vetoe it. I know this is a vote getting stunt for the dumbocrats, but here is the problem with that.

The tribal leaders of Iraq have been reluctant to cooperate with Americans for fear that we were not going to be able to provide proper security. Since the surge started showing progress they have recently began to take a stand against the insurgents and terrorists in Iraq, now that it looks like we may cut and run leaving them to defend there own they will probably now be thinking they are better off supporting the people that are killing our Soldiers.

This war will not and can not be won in the halls of Congress, but it damn sure can be lost their.
Congress should do their job by funding the war, then get the hell out of the way and let the Soldiers fight it.

al-Qaeda in Iran

Well here is something that was pretty damn obvious, the mullahs of Iran linked to al Queda. It seems Iran is being used as a base for terrorists. These terrorists then go into Iraq and kill Iraqis and Americans, with the intended goal of undermining progress in Iraq.

Intelligence sources say that al Qaeda is operating in Iran. No way…are .you kidding…I am shocked! I mean this wasn’t reported on any of Iran’s new government controlled TV news reports.

It seems al-Qaeda operatives are using Iran as a money and commo base. O.K. so it isn’t a training camp, but a terrorist organization must have money and good commo to fight a war.

So, Iran is harboring terrorists, providing weapons and Improvised Explosive Devices (those are road side bombs that blow up HUMVEES our troops ride around in) to insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan, Iran has announced they will wipe the UK, Israel and the U.S. off the face of the Earth on numerous occasions and they are getting closer to having nuclear bombs. Iran is already at war with us, why are we not at war with them?

So, what will we do about the threat of Iran? Probably, nothing until the cost of dealing with Iran will be as great as the cost of dealing with Hitler and Nazi Germany. It’s the same situation, different times folks. Read a history book folks the parallels are clear as day.

Oh hell, I got a better idea. How bout we sit around and worry about “Global Warming” instead. I mean more than 10,600 people have been killed at the hands of Islamic terrorism so far in 2007, “Global Warming” has killed 0. I definitely see the bigger problem for the human race, do you?

WWIV update: al-Qaeda attempts 3 attacks in U.K.

Tony Blair is out and Gordon Brown is in the prime minister seat in England. Brown with only 4 days in the rein is being tested by al-Qaeda as they attempted to set off 3 terrorist attacks in the last week; two car bombs in London and one at the Glasgow Airport in Scotland.

So, what is the short-term goal of the latest attacks? It is to test Gordon Brown. Al-Qaeda wants Brown to remove British troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen.

One thing I could not help to notice is in almost all the news stories about these attacks there is not one mention of the terrorists being Islam or Muslim.

It is amazing to me, the enemy, which would be Islamic extremist, doesn’t have any trouble identifying their enemy, which would be us. We are the infidels, the evil non-believers of the West.

Of course we are reluctant and worried to call these terrorist Islam or Muslim because we wouldn’t want to offend anyone… Sorry, but when someone dedicates their existence in life to my extermination, I really could care less about offending them.

Yes, I know not all Muslims are terrorists. In fact, most Muslims probably want to live in peace and harmony with other people and religions, but for now majority of terrorists have been Muslim. Perhaps it is time for all the good Muslims to stand up and help weed out the radicals that have hijacked your religion for political and violent means.

I feel that it is important to recognize the enemy for what it is, and that is radical Islam. It is important because we can’t forget, as it appears a lot of you have, we are fighting an ideology that wants nothing more than to take over the world. It is similar to communism, only a lot worse.

The latest example from the UK is just a small part of the big picture of the Islamic Extremists ideological plan to place the world under Islamic Sharia Law. Take a look at how many Sharia courts are popping up all over the U.K. They are showing up in other places in Europe as well and no one is doing anything to stop it.

A sovereign nation will not survive with two rules of law within its borders.

Country Boy's suggested reading and viewing from around the web.

Must Read: Here is a column from an ex-Muslim radical extremist. He explains why his views were wrong and is telling all Muslims they must renounce Terrorism. Very interesting read.

So Happy Together: Hamas and al-Qaeda ally together to attack Israel and U.S.

After Hamas took over Gaza defeating Fatah a little over a week ago, Osama Bin Laden's number two, Ayman al-Zawahiri, has called on the Islamist terrorist group Hamas to unite with al-Qaeda and Muslims throughout the world to join the fight against Israel and the U.S.

The Egyptian-born militant, called on Muslims around the world to back Hamas with arms, money and violence against US and Israeli interests.

He also urged Hamas to implement Islamic law in Gaza.

"Taking over power is not a goal but a means to implement God's word on earth," he said.

Well, isn’t that nice… Islamic extremist continue their dedication to create an Islamic state and assert its power through out the world…and no one seems to care or wants to do anything about it. Why should they? I mean we got Paris Hilton released from jail today!

Country boy suggested reading and viewing from around the web.

Oh boy, this is not good. Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces have been spotted by British troops crossing the border into southern Iraq. I wonder what President Bush will do? Oh wait it is just a border...I mean we don't care about those in our own back yard.

Will France stand up against al-Qaeda?

A European Al-Qaeda division has threatened "bloody jihad" on France for electing Nicolas Sarkozy, a conservative, by definition, and a U.S. supporter as its newest leader.

So will France pay a price for electing a strong leader? This group threatening France is said to be the same group that carried out the Madrid, Spain attacks in 2004 that sent the Spanish retreating from Iraq and the London attacks in 2005. Who is to stop them from doing something similar in France? Will the new president have the guts to actually fight these terrorist bastards? Looks like time may tell.
Now this is a surprise. Some had written Spain off after they surrendered to Islamic terrorists following the train bombings in Madrid. Now Spain arrests terrorist recruiters who were sending jihadists to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan. Is there hope?

Israel to ready public for 'all-out war'

With Iran racing toward nuclear power and IDF preparations for the possibility of a conflict with Syria and Hizbullah in high gear, the Home Front Command plans to launch a publicity campaign to prepare the public for war.

Yes, looks like Israel has had enough and rightly so. It is almost do or die time for Israel for they have just about givin up everything they can to their enemies. Let's hope that we stay out of their way this time and let them go after their enemies.

It amazes me that we reserved the right to go after our enemies, but always tell Israel to back off.

Signing peace treaties and giving up ground to terrorists state ran organizations is not ever going to win Israel peace. All it will do and has done is make their borders disappear until they are gone.

The world is ruled by overwhelming force, always has been, always will be. It is time we allo Israel to use some of that overwhelming force.

Speaking of Israel...Fred Thompson puts his two cents worth in.

Fred Thompson, I am not running for President, but really I am, has a column out today titled: Living in terror. Great read about the situation in Israel.

Thompson starts off the column asking a hypothetical question. What do you think America would do if Canadian soldiers were firing dozens of missiles every day into Buffalo, N.Y.? What do you think our response would be if Mexican troops for two years had launched daily rocket attacks on San Diego -- and bragged about it?

I can tell you, our response would look nothing like Israel's restrained and pinpoint reactions to daily missile attacks from Gaza. We would use whatever means necessary to win the war. There would likely be numerous casualties on our enemy's side, but we would rightfully hold those who attacked us responsible.

Thompson then goes on to say 13,000 rockets have been launched into Israel over the last two years and explains the situation. The ending of this column is the best part, because he ties the whole situation to Iran, and he is exactly right.

The irony is that Israel has the military might to easily win the war that is being waged against them today. They haven't used that might, in the past, out of compassion for Palestinian civilians and because it could trigger a wider regional conflict.

He left out because Israel's Western allies have convinced them not too.

That balance of power is about to change, though. If Iran develops nuclear weapons, the very existence of this tiny nation of Israel will be threatened. The Iranian regime has left little doubt that it intends to see Israel "wiped off the map.” Hamas is using the same language, not coincidentally, and has announced it will begin launching missiles into Israel from the West Bank too.

If the world doesn't act to stop Iran's nuclear ambitions, it must be prepared for the consequences of Israel defending itself.

If there is any doubt in your mind we are not already in World War...let this happen. Israel will remind us all that we are.

Coalition: Taliban have Iran arms.

U.S. and British forces in Afghanistan say Iran could be supplying the Taliban with the same type of weapons they have been sending into Iraq.

Coalition officials in Afghanistan tells CNN they have intercepted Iranian-made AK-47s, C-4 plastic explosives and mortars. One explosively-formed penetrator bomb (EFP) that was found can pierce American armor, a NATO official said.

The EFP is similar to the weaponry the United States says Iran has provided to militants in Iraq.

Are you starting to see a pattern of all roads leading back to Iran. We are already at war with Iran. Iran sends sniper rifles to Iraq to kill Americans, we do nothing. They defiantly tell the World to screw off, we are enriching urinaium. The World does nothing.

Here are more examples from the World War we are in.

This is a must read folks.

From Iraq to Algeria, Al-Qaeda's Long ReachSuicide Bombings in Algiers Suggest Network's Influence In Recruiting, Training North Africans to Fight at Home
Al-Qaeda has rapidly extended its influence across North Africa by aiding and organizing local groups that are demonstrating a renewed ability to launch terrorist attacks in the region, such as the triple suicide bombings that killed 33 people here last month, according to counterterrorism officials and analysts.

Turkish police capture 8 more al-Qaida suspects
Police on Thursday captured eight more suspected al-Qaida militants, CNN-Turk television reported, raising the number of suspects caught in the recent sweep against the group to 19. The eight were detained in Ankara, the television reported, without giving any other details. Police officials could not immediately be reached for comment on the report.

Turkey Seizes Syria-Bound Weapons
ANKARA, Turkey -- Turkish authorities seized weapons hidden among construction materials on a Syria-bound train from Iran after Kurdish guerrillas bombed and derailed the train, a prosecutor said Wednesday. The cargo was discovered when authorities checked containers on the train, which was attacked by separatist Kurdish guerrillas on May 25 near the town of Genc in southeastern Bingol province, Prosecutor Ismail Sari told reporters Wednesday.

Islamic terror groups using Swiss base: government
ZURICH - Islamic militants are using Switzerland as a base because of its strategic location and different legal system from surrounding European Union countries, a government report published on Thursday said. The country may also face terror attacks itself, although no concrete evidence of any plans has yet been discovered, said a report by the Federal Police Office.

Turkey bolsters troops on Iraq border
ANKARA, Turkey - Turkey has sent large contingents of reinforcement soldiers, tanks and armored personnel carriers to its border with Iraq as debate heated up over whether to stage a cross-border offensive to hit Kurdish rebel bases. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday urged the United States and Iraq to destroy bases of the Kurdistan Workers Party, or PKK, in northern Iraq ...

Things do not look good there. The islamofascists are looking for leverage to take over the country, and they may have found it: The average secular Turk doesn't want religious governance, but they don't trust the US and they hate the Kurds. We're between a rock and a hard place if Turkey pushes into Iraq and starts killing Kurds -- defend them and the Turks hate us, abandon them and we break faith with the fledgling Iraq. Either one is bad.

At least 80 people, including many civilians, have been killed in intensified fighting in Somalia over the past two days, according to hospital sources.

Around 300 people have been wounded in the fighting - some of the fiercest Mogadishu has seen since the transitional government took over the capital in December.

there is no mention of who the government is fighting in Somalia, but let it be known it is al-Qaeda.

New sanctions planned against Sudan
President Bush will impose new economic sanctions against Sudan and call for a U.N. resolution to compel the country to stop stalling international efforts to halt the bloodshed in Darfur, senior administration officials said.

The new action will stiffen enforcement of existing sanctions, bar more companies in Sudan from using the U.S. financial system, and clamp down on individuals suspected of violence in Darfur where more than 200,000 people have been killed and 2.5 million people chased from their homes in four years of fighting.

Military pumps up China's influence, Pentagon says
China's modernizing military will make it a more muscular player in world events, a U.S. Defense Department report says.

China's developing capabilities "will increase Beijing's options for military coercion to press diplomatic advantage, advance interests or resolve disputes," the Pentagon says in its annual report to Congress on China.

The report says, the Chinese army is transforming itself from a force designed to fight wars of attrition on its own territory to one capable of winning short but intense campaigns against high-tech adversaries.

President Bush Signs war spending bill no one loved.

The Soldiers fighting the "war on terror" will get the funds they need to continue their mission as President Bush signed the war spending bill today that was passed without a timetable for withdrawal by Congress and the Senate.

The news media is calling it a victory for the President, which to a certain extent I suppose it is. I think of it as more of a compromise than a victory as the democrats were able to get more than 8 billion dollars of non-war related spending out of the bill that no one loved.

Here is a look at what was actually in the bill:

• $99.5 billion for the Defense Department, $94.5 billion of it for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

• $1.6 billion in U.S. aid for Iraq, which could be restricted if the Iraqi government does not meet certain benchmarks.

• $3 billion for land mine-resistant vehicles.

• $3 billion for military health care programs.

• $1.8 billion for veterans' care.

• $1.1 billion for homeland security, including airport, border and cargo container screening.

• $6.4 billion for hurricane relief efforts along the U.S. Gulf Coast.

• $3 billion for disaster farm aid.

• More than $650 million for the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP).

• $465 million for fighting wildfires.

• $425 million for rural schools.

Oh and let's not forget the minimum wage hike that was also attached to the bill...

The Democrats are not happy because they didn't get their timetable for defeat, I mean withdrawal and the Republicans are not happy because the legislation included more than $8 billion in domestic spending, added at Democratic insistence.

"We've got a whole host of other issues that don't deserve to be put on the backs of our men and women in the military,'' said House Republican Leader John Boehner of Ohio shortly before the vote. "It's a sneaky way to do business.''

It is a sneaky way to do bussiness, but that is how they do it.

This is what they call a Washington compromise... Something that needs to be changed in D.C.

I want to know why it is even legal to add all this pork on to a unrelated bill anyway.

War spending bill passes house and Senate: Clinton, Obama vote NO to fund troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I take back the respect I had for Obama, and Clinton well I never had much respect for her to begin with.

The U.S. Senate passed the war-spending bill to fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan with no timetables for withdrawal 80-14 Thursday night, but the top two front-runners, Clinton and Obama in the Democrat Primary voted No.

Their votes Thursday night continued a shift in position for the two presidential hopefuls, both of whom began the year shunning a deadline for a troop withdrawal.

''I fully support our troops'' but the measure ''fails to compel the president to give our troops a new strategy in Iraq,'' said Clinton.

Yeah, new strategy, I guess she doesn’t know about the new Gen. in charge and the troop surge, which by the way is showing signs of improvement.

''Enough is enough,'' Obama, an Illinois senator, declared, adding that President Bush should not get ''a blank check to continue down this same, disastrous path.''

Right, and the troops shouldn’t get the money for the equipment that helps keep them alive. I guess if Obama or Clinton got there way we would start fighting al-Qaeda with a bag of rocks instead of bullets.

If this is the kind of support the troops the democrats want to give, they can keep it.

After the last democrat primary debate I stated that I do not agree with Obama’s position on Iraq, but I have the most respect for his position than any of the other candidates

“I opposed this war from the start because I thought it would lead to the disastrous conditions that we have seen,” he said, but he said he could not vote to cut off funding for troops once they were in the field.

Yeah well so much for that pledge…and Clinton well her position is even less respectable.

Clinton actually voted to authorize to send troops to Iraq, now she wants to abandon them and not give them the money they so desperately need.

This debate is not over either folks. The most critical votes on the war are likely to be cast in September when the House and Senate debate war funding for 2008. The September votes likely will come after Iraq war commander Gen. David Petraeus tells Congress whether Bush's troop buildup plan is working. Also due by September is an independent assessment of progress made by the Iraqi government.

You can guarantee the defeat-rats…I mean democrats will do everything they can to continue to embolden our enemies and make sure Iraq continues to be portrayed as a failure by September. It truly must be a proud moment in the history of the Democrat Party to realize that the success of your party is invested in the defeat of your country.

Poor Gen. Petaueus… he has lost before he even started.
