Pope asked to let Muslims pray in cathedral

A group of Muslims from Spain has asked Pope Benedict XVI for permission to pray alongside Christians in the former Great Mosque of Córdoba that was turned into a cathedral in the 13th century.

In a letter sent on Christmas Day to the Pope's ambassador in Spain, the Spanish Islamic Board requested that the world heritage site be opened for prayer by all religions as a model of tolerance and a way to foster inter-faith dialogue.

Have you ever noticed that it is always all of the other religions other than Islam in the world who has to be tolerant and accept inter-faith dialogue?

Do you suppose the Muslims would open the doors to former St. Sophia in Constantinople for prayer by all religions as a model of tolerance and a way to foster inter-faith dialogue?

Afterall the orignal state of St. Sophia was a Christian cathedral to the glory of the one true God.
