A MUST READ...The Iran Threat must be dealt with, and now not later!

Norman Podhoretz has a column in the Wall Street Journal's Editorial Page today, The case for bombing Iran: I hope and pray President Bush will do it.

Yeah, I hope and pray he will do it before it is too late!!!

If you do anything at all today please read this column. It is a long column, but should be required reading for every man, woman and child that lives within our borders.

For over two and a half years now I have warned about the threat of Iran. I have said World War is on the horizon, if not already here. We are staring at 1938 all over again...

In fact, much of what Mr. Podhoretz, has to say can be found throughout this blog over the last two years.

After reading this column, I find that I am no longer frightened by the actions of Iran. Instead, I find myself terrified, because I truly believe the United States will not stomach the courage to do anything about it until it is too late, even though the consequences are perfectly clear.

I can not help to remember the words of a man who had no choice but to deal with a similar evil or be crushed in his time, Winston Churchill: "Still, if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case; you may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves."

Phew! Long article.

Here's the way I see it. Bush has lost his nerve. He's fighting a PC war against a ruthless, determined enemy. A bad idea.

Iran sent $20,000 sniper rifles to Iraq which kill US soldiers. We do nothing. Iran kidnaps British soldiers. We do nothing. Iran trains terrorists, sends Qods forces into Iraq, deveolops nukes. We do nothing.

Actually, to be fair, Bush is doing something. He's now negotiating the terms of our surrender with Iran.

We gotta respond with serious force.

My solution? Embargo all gas imports to Iran, bomb the terrorist camps inside Iran, and take out their air force. Then negotiate. If that doesn't get their attention, then really take the gloves off. Bomb their only gas refinery and the revolutionary guards. And work to change the regime.

Also, get serious in Iraq. Kill everyone connected to IEDs. Everyone - the ones who set the bombs, making the bombs, finance the bombs. You get the idea.

Increase the cost of meddling to our enemies. That's the path to victory.

This is all an example of Bush's flawed middle eastern policies. If we would just keep our noses out of their affairs none of this would be going on. Iran only makes Nukes and sends weapons to Iraq cause we threaten them...Think about that...

WWIV??? you can't be serious...

Violence is never the answer...

Bring the troops home now! and get out of middle eastern affairs.

Bush is an idiot, who has led the whole world to a path of destruction...It will take more than 20 years to clean up this international mess that he started...

Hilery Clinton would be a good start, and we can start by getting our troops out of Iraq!!!

You conservatives are nothing but a bunch of warmongers...that is all you want... I myself am sick of this illegal war...and we definately do not need any new ones... We do not even have the troops to fight the one we are in...

Damn...I see the moonbats found your blog...

Either we fight them there or we fight them here...either way we are going to fight them...you may choose not to fight them, but guess what...they are going to fight you anyway.

We are fighting an ideaology that is spreading like cancer...

I hear everyone say, get out, stay out of the middle east.

Fine, if we get out, what do we do when Europe and the rest of the world falls to islamicfascism... and the U.S. is the only free nation left and the World and the idealogs come a knocking...

Why can't people see that???

rrs4...you my friend are in desperate need of a history lesson... I will bet you that you were either not alive during the Cold War or not old enough to remember...or maybe you are just a loon lib who always fails to see the evil that confronts them.

Either way, the Cold War was a pretty scary time...the time we live in now is scarrier.

Anyone, who does not believe World War is on the horizon better open their eyes...it is upon us and we have two choices. We either fight or watch it destroy us.
