Recently I commented on some comments that Julian Bond made at a speech here in Fayetteville. One of the comments he made in the speech was that “The Bush administration likes to use former Secretary of State Colin Powell and current Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as kinds of human shields against any criticism of their record on civil rights. After all, they're proud of saying their administration is more diverse than any in history."
Yes, it is the most diverse administration in history. I would just like to thank Julian Bond for pointing out that the Bush Administration has done more for the advancement of colored people than the NAACP.
Well, now it seems that the Republican Party is on the verge of some pretty significant electoral victories that would put black politicians in key positions throughout the country. Just another example that the GOP is doing more for the advancement of colored people than the NAACP. George Will runs down the races to watch.
