The time has come to deal with Iran.

The leader of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has made it clear what his intentions are in the last couple of months. In January told a crowd of "theological students" in Iran that Islam must prepare to rule the world. Ahmandinejad said "We must believe in the fact that Islam is not confined to geographical borders, ethnic groups and nations. It's a universal ideology that leads the world to justice," ”, Ahmadinejad said.

“We don’t shy away from declaring that Islam is ready to rule the world”, he added.

“We must prepare ourselves to rule the world and the only way to do that is to put forth views on the basis of the Expectation of the Return”, Ahmadinejad said, referring to the Shiite Muslim belief that the Mahdi, on his return, will establish justice in a world consumed by chaos and corruption.

Now when you put this Islamo fascist -idiot's thoughts on world domination together with some other things he has said you really begin to understand why he would be so dangerous with nuclear weapons and why we should not and can not allow that to ever happen. Here are some samples of previous recent comments;

"The Holocaust is a myth."

"The United States is the Great Satan."

"Israel and the US must be wiped off the face of the Earth."

"Iran is going to become a nuclear power no matter what the Western world thinks about it."

And now we can add the threat of "harm and pain" to the United States if we try to use the U.N. to impose sanctions.

It seems that the "harm and pain" that Iran is talking about is to use their oil against us by cutting back on production causing the prices to sky rocket.

I have said it before that our dependency on foreign oil is a huge National Security crisis just waiting to happen and that we need to start drilling our own.

Imagine if Iran does cut back production and crude oil goes to 80 or 90 dollars a barrel. Can you imagine the effect that would have on the economy when gas prices are 3-4 dollars a gallon? The economy would tank in a matter of months. More importantly our military can not function without oil. Oil is the bloodline to our country without it we are screwed.

Thank God we still have those emergency oil reserves to keep our military a float. Remember when Kerry and the liberals wanted to tap into them to lower pump prices. That would have been a good idea wouldn't it.

The main troubling question in all of this is how much time do we have before Iran has a nuclear weapon and who can we trust?

Can we trust other countries to negotiate with Iran? What about the Soviet Union who has had a big part at the negotiation table with Iran?

They offered to to produce Irans nuclear fuel for them. But Iran turned down the deal arguing the offer would deny their nation's right to "be in charge of its own fate" on energy matters. Now there is something are government can’t get right. We let OPEC be in charge of our own fate on energy matters.

In January we find out that Iran cut a deal with Russia to buy an advanced weapons system that can destroy incoming missiles and laser-guided bombs. Russia also helped Iran launch a satellite that could give early warning of an air attack against Iranian nuclear facilities.

Why are we trusting the Russians and just whose side are they on anyway.

As far as how much time do we have? Well, the head of the IAEA, the nuclear watchdog at the UN, Muhammad El-Baradei says he agrees with Israel....Iran is only a few months away from creating an atomic bomb.

Keep in mind, ElBaradei is not some wild bomb thrower (so to speak). He is the same diplomat who the Bush administration recently, and unsuccessfully, tried to block from being re-appointed chairman of the IAEA because he was insufficiently assertive and too inclined to understate the danger of nuclear development in Muslim countries.

El Baradei added that "It's difficult to read their intention. We're still going through the program to make sure it's all for peaceful purposes," he told reporters.

However, he warns against anybody actually doing anything about it....fearing Iran would retaliate.

Now that is just a swell plan, isn't it? Iran who is a known enemy of the United States and Israel is well on the way to developing nukes, but we should just sit back and do nothing because this idiot at the UN is afraid they may retaliate. So, what are we suppose to do? Let them proceed until they actually have the nuclear weapons in hand and then try to do something. What a typically useless position from the Nobel peace prize-winning bureaucrat.

It is difficult to read there intentions??? Iran has gone on the record calling for the destruction of Israel and the United States and this Noble Peace Prize winning idiot Baradei at the UN says it is hard to read there intentions.

Maybe, some one needs to break this down for Baradei… Baradei knows this guy Joe, who really hates him. Joe walks up to Baradei and says I am going to kill you. Joe then pulls out a handgun that appears to be unloaded because he has bullets in his other hand. Now Joe will have a loaded hand gun in less than a minute. Then someone comes along and says hold on Baradei, you can’t be to sure of what Joe’s intentions are here, if you try to disarm him he might fight back. What should Baradei do?

Well, if he wants to live to see another day he better kick Joe’s ass before he loads that gun!!! And that is exactly what we should do with Iran.

I am not calling for an all out invasion of Iran at this time. I think a simple air strike to take out these nuclear facilities would do just fine. Take a few stealth bombers, fly in there, and Blow the reactors up!

Oh, how I hear the critics now: We can’t do that, we are bogged down in Iraq. If we bomb Iran they might attack back then we will be at war with them as well…Blah, blah, blah. Yadda, yadda, yadda. Bush is going to kill us all.

Yes, because it will be much easier to deal with this problem once Iran has nukes. Oh and let me let you in on some information. In case you didn’t know it, we are already at war with Iran in Iraq. A large part of the so called “insurgency” is from other Middle Eastern countries including Iran.

Also, for those of you who think the military is cut to thin around the world. I would agree that we may not have the numbers that we like but that can't stop us from doing what has to be done. I ask you to look to the "Greatest Generation" and ask yourself this question. Did they stop the fight when they were stretched thin? No, they stepped up, going on 22-30 month deployments. We were fighting battles all over the world, all over Europe, Japan, the Philippines, and Africa. Read about the battle of the bulge, the battle for the Rhine River, and the fighting in the pacific and you will come to find that we do not even know what it means to be stretched thin.

Do you think we would have won WWII if we were worried about being stretched to thin? They were fighting for the survival of our country and the world back then, just as I believe we are fighting for the survival of our country and the world from a branch of Islamic extremist who have no respect for human life and are determined to acquire world domination through whatever means necessary.

A failure to take action now against Iran means they might have Nukes in a couple of months. A chance I am not willing to take. There is no doubt in my mind that those nuclear weapons will be pointed at 3 places; Israel, Iraq and the United States. Are we going to allow that to happen?
The truth may be that the leftist white flag waving Democrats have so much weakened our will to fight, our will to defend ourselves from these kinds of threats, that we just might do nothing. That decision may very well cost lives, but the Democrats won’t be the ones to take the heat for it. They will place the heat on President Bush for not taking action against Iran.
